What is Steelflow

An industrial hardware and software company.

We make a small Edge Box that connects to a factory's machines, and one software system that turns what the machines are doing into something the owner can use: who is running, who is stopped, what it costs, and what to do next.

  • 1

    The Edge Box

A mini computer that sticks onto a machine with a magnet and continuously retrieves data: running, stopped, getting hot, shaking. It only reads. It never controls the machine.

  • 2

    The app

Every machine, every order and every rupee lost, live on your phone. No walking the floor to find out what happened.

  • 3

    One system

Machines, orders, stock, deliveries and alerts in one place, not in registers, Excel sheets and WhatsApp groups.

The problem

If one machine stops, how long before the owner finds out?

In most small factories: when someone walks over and tells him.

  • Machines stop and nobody knows. The first alert is a person walking over.
  • The business lives in notebooks. Orders, stock and deliveries sit in registers, Excel sheets and WhatsApp groups.
  • Stopped hours cost real money. Nobody can say exactly how much.

How it works

Three steps from the machine to the money.

01

The Edge Box listens to the machine

The Steelflow Edge Box connects to the machine's controller (the PLC, its brain) and adds two senses of its own: vibration and temperature. It mounts with a magnet and plugs in with an Ethernet cable. It reads data only. It never sends commands to the machine.

Works with Mitsubishi, Omron and Beckhoff controllers.

02

The software shows you everything

Every machine, live, on one screen. Green is running, amber is idle, red means look here now. When something goes wrong, the alert says what happened and what to check, in plain words. You can also just ask: "Which machines are down right now?" The Steelflow AI Assistant answers.

03

The ERP connects machines to money

Orders, stock and deliveries are built into the same system. Because it is connected to the machines, a stopped machine shows which order is now at risk, and what every stopped hour costs. That is what we mean by machine to money.

  1. A machine stopsThe Edge Box sees it within seconds.
  2. An order is at riskThe ERP knows which job was running on it.
  3. You see the costEvery stopped hour, in rupees.

What you get

Everything a factory owner asks about, in one place.

  • Live machine status

Running, idle, in alarm or offline, for every machine, refreshed every couple of seconds.

  • Alerts that explain

Not just "fault 17". It tells you what happened and what to inspect.

  • OEE and output

How well each machine and the whole plant are really running, hour by hour, against target.

  • Early warnings

Vibration and heat trends flag a machine that is getting sick before it breaks down.

  • Built-in ERP

Orders, stock and deliveries in the same system as your machines.

  • Money lost

See what every stopped hour costs, once you set your profit per machine hour.

  • Ask in plain English

"Hey Steelflow, which machines are down?" The AI assistant answers from your live data.

  • Works on older machines

No smart features needed. If it has a controller, or even just a motor, the Edge Box can read it.

The dashboard

This is what the owner sees.

Where it was built

Not built in a lab. Built on a factory floor.

Steelflow grew up inside AR Automotive and Engineering Industries, a Chennai manufacturer of tubular and sheet-metal parts for two- and four-wheeler makers since 2006. Every feature was tested against a real factory's problems.

Questions

Things factory owners ask.

Can Steelflow control or stop my machines?

No. The Edge Box only reads. It has no way to send commands to a machine, so it cannot change how your machine runs.

Does it work on old machines?

Yes. If a machine has a PLC (Mitsubishi, Omron and Beckhoff are supported), the Edge Box reads it directly. Vibration and temperature sensors add a second view on any machine, old or new.

Do I have to buy the Edge Box?

No. We rent it to you as part of the monthly price, so there is no hardware to buy.

Can I try it on a few machines first?

That is how we recommend starting. Pick the machines that stop most often or cost you the most when they stop, and add more later.

Do I need the ERP?

Not to start. Standard gives you machine monitoring and alerts. Add the built-in ERP (orders, stock, deliveries) when you want to connect machines to your business.
